Text Messaging and Phone Call Privacy Policy
Connect Care Medical
Effective date: August 26, 2026

Connect Care Medical respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information associated with our text messaging and telephone communications.

How we communicate with you
We may contact you about appointment reminders, scheduling, care coordination, billing, and other practice-related matters. With appropriate consent, we may also send marketing or promotional communications. Communications may include text messages, live telephone calls, and automated or prerecorded calls.

Your consent and choices
We obtain consent for text messages and automated or prerecorded calls when required by law. Providing your telephone number or accepting this privacy policy does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing communications.

Where required, we obtain separate express written consent for automated marketing calls and texts. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing services or receiving care. We obtain any additional authorization required before using or disclosing protected health information for marketing.

Information we collect and use
We may collect your name, telephone number, communication preferences, consent and opt-out records, message content, call details, and relevant information you provide during communications. We use this information to communicate with you, provide and coordinate services, manage billing, maintain records, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Mobile information and sharing
We do not sell or share your mobile telephone number, text messaging consent, or opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information to service providers that help us deliver messages, handle calls, or operate our practice, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security requirements. We may also disclose information when required or permitted by law. Service providers are not authorized to use your messaging consent for their own marketing.

Text message terms and opting out
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may stop text messages by replying STOP. You may receive a single confirmation of your opt-out. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.

You may also contact us to withdraw consent for automated or prerecorded calls or to change your communication preferences. We honor opt-out requests as required by applicable law. Opting out does not affect your eligibility for care; contact our office to arrange another communication method.

Call recording
Calls may be recorded for quality assurance, training, service documentation, or other disclosed operational purposes. When recording occurs, we provide notice and obtain consent as required by applicable law. Please tell our staff if you do not wish to be recorded so we can discuss available alternatives.

Privacy risks and voicemail
Standard text messages and voicemail may be accessible to others who use your device, share your telephone account, or have access to your messages. Text messages may not be encrypted.

Please avoid sending sensitive medical information, payment card details, or other confidential information through ordinary text messages. Contact our office for an appropriate communication method.

We limit information left in voicemail messages and accommodate reasonable requests for confidential communications. Please tell us if you prefer a different telephone number, restricted voicemail messages, or another way to reach you.

Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect communication records. No communication system is completely secure. We retain records as needed for care, practice operations, consent documentation, and applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements.

Emergencies
Texts and voicemail are not continuously monitored and should not be used for urgent medical needs. For a medical emergency, call 911.

Other privacy notices and updates
This policy supplements our general website Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Our HIPAA notice explains how protected health information may be used and disclosed and describes your rights.

We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. An update does not replace any consent or authorization required by law.
